First Public Performance of The Shakesperians, 1841 At Her Majesty's Theatre. Performance of "Richard III" and supporting plays and music, unusual programme as finely printed on Silk, size 4½" × 6½" (founded by Barnard Gregory (1796-1852) was a British journalist, publisher & actor. He published The Satirist from 1831 to 1849. Used this paper to publish the scandals of residents of London and of ten blackmailed them. Several articles that were published led to high-profile libel suits. As a result of these cases, he was imprisoned multiple times. Gregory was also a gifted Shakespearian actor, although his acting career was hindered by his bad reputation)
