King George III Signature On A “Grant Of Coat Of Arms” Document 26th June 1800 Being a Grant of Arms and title from his deceased Father to Sir Francis Butler Yarde of Churston Court (near Brixham), Devon. Signed by “King George III” at top of first page. Also signed by the “Duke of Portland” as Home Secretary on the 2nd page. An easy to read manuscript document of four pages, size folded 8” × 12¼”. (Churston Court exists now as Churston Manor Hotel is a fine place for a holiday in Devon, there are very Cheap deals for out of season visits. The Duke of Portland was twice Prime Minister of Britain, during his first term in 1783 Peace was agreed with the American Colonies establishing The United States. During his second term fortunes of War with France turned for the better with British Forces going to Spain and Portugal in 1808. He was also Home Secretary for 12 years 1793 – 1808)
