1855 Colonial Canada - A Scarce original publication in one book with 2 bound Prize Essays: Canada: An Essay by Sheridan Hogan. An 86 Page book. To Which was Awarded The First Prize by the Paris Exhibition Committee of Canada, and Canada And Her Resources: An Essay by Alexander Morris. A 119 page book. To which was awarded The Second Prize. This book was published in 1855 by Dawson, Montreal and Sampson Low, London. Large fold out maps can be found at the back of each of this book (2 in total), Both books detailing the resources of Canada, Agriculture, mineral wealth and trade, plus opportunities for the emigrant etc. Written when Canada was still a Colony. They were prepared for the Canadian Commissioners of the Paris Exhibition by Thomas Keefer and printed by Matthews, Montreal. In original cloth board cover, size 5½| x 8½|
