An Early Impressive Railway Travelling Chart of Places to See Each Side of The Railway Line From London To Southampton, 1846 Has fine illustration of Winchester across the top, then detailed account of the construction and engineering characteristic of the railway. Then starting at Nine Elms Station in London there are with 126 illustrations and accompanying text extensive information regarding things to see along the each side of the railway during the journey to Southampton Lastly across the bottom has fine illustration of Southampton. Also the Mileage and the stations are given. Published by the Railway Chronicle it is 8¾” across and folds out and out vertically to 76” deep. (These traveling charts were printed by the Railway Chronicle for just six different railways in the mid 1840s.)
