First Edition. A 309 page book giving an interesting account regarding Argentina in those early days of independence, particularly Gold Mining with the author had gone there to develop. Mentioning at length mode of travel, the Indians, Gauchos, towns and landscape etc Re-backed with a paper spine and the original boards retained, size 5¼” ´ 8”. Sir Francis Bond Head, (1793 –1875), known as "Galloping Head", was Lieutenant-Governor of Upper Canada during the rebellion of 1837. He was an officer in the corps of Royal Engineers of the British Army from 1811 to 1825.
