1973 John Dawes Barbarians No

1973 John Dawes Barbarians No.13 rugby shirt - from the most famous rugby match of all time against the New Zealand All Blacks – winning 23-11 - a most brilliant display of outstanding rugby by both sides and signed by John Dawes Captain Note Dawes captained the Barbarians side in a match billed as the rematch between the majority of the 1971 victorious British Lions team in New Zealand. He also captained that tour and remains the only Lions captain to have captained a series victory there. The match will forever be remembered for the brilliance of the play, including the most memorable try of all time that saw Dawes, in the words of the legendary Cliff Morgan, threw a "great dummy" that continued the brilliant move that eventually saw Gareth Edwards avoid the flying Grant Batty for a try in the corner. Dawes went on to be coach of the great Welsh side of the mid to late 1970s.
