C.1828-1832 Mechi’s Catalogue 4, Leadenhall Street, London. Very early sales catalogue of 20 pages featuring British and German Silver plate cutlery, Tea & coffee pots. The most expensive being a splendid Tea Urn on silver mountings for ?14.2s. 0d. Also Bagatelle and Billiard Tables. Various Writing and Dressing cases etc. etc. The front cover with interesting two colour security printing designs by Whiting who printed Banknotes and Lottery tickets. In good, clean condition Note: John Joseph Mechi was an Alderman of the City of London, he started the business in 1826, one of the earliest trade catalogues.
