Bodyline Series - 1932/33 England Cricket Tour to Australia rare engraved silver cased travelling clock - hallmarked Birmingham 1932 and engraved on the one panel with the St George’s crest and inscribed below “Ashes 1933” and on the opposite panel engraved with a Kangaroo and inscribed above “H Sutcliffe” and below “From Fergy” c/w suspension ring and still in full working order – overall 1.5x 1.5” (G) Scarce and rare artefact from the infamous Bodyline cricket series . Note William “Fergy” Ferguson was the official scorer and baggage handler of the England team during the 1932/33 tour to Australia. He was a well-known scorer and kit man for both Australia and England, amongst others, for over fifty years, and is credited with inventing wagon wheel method of scoring.  One other known example can be found in The National Sports Museum and Melbourne Cricket Club which has an identical travel clock in their collection presented to P.F. Warner.
