India – Princess Bamba Duleep Singh Collection. An original catalogue of the collection of Princess Bamba Duleep Singh, grand-daughter of Maharajah Ranjit Sing. Featuring the last remnants of Sikh art, antiques and artefacts of the Sikh Kingdom which were left in her possession of the Princess, the last lineal descendant of the Royal family. On her death in 1957, the Princess’s munshi sold the collection of personal items of the Pakistan Government. The Government set up the Princess Bamba Collection and installed the collection in a wing of the Lahore Fort. The catalogue was in 1961, by the Department of Archaeology, and list 87 items associated with Maharajah Ranjit Singh and his son Duleep Singh, with full details, inscriptions and sizes. With 10 B&W illustrations and 3 colour plates of the paintings in the collection.
