Theatre – George Bernard Shaw – Malvern Festival bound collation of the Malvern Festival programmes for the years 1929-37, featuring the production of many of Shaw’s most famous plays. During this time, the Malvern Festival became one of the most important theatre venues in the world. Pioneered by Sir Barry Jackson, the festival was favoured by Shaw, and attracted the very best West End Actors in productions of his most famous plays – some of which received their premieres at the venue. The 1929 festival was the first such collaboration.
