The Calendar Act Printed Act of Parliament dated 1751 being the Act which changed the calendar from the old system known as the ‘Julian Calendar’ which had been in use for centuries to the new Gregorian Calendar which is still in use today. The adjustment required the advancement of 11 days – so that Wednesday September 2nd 1752 was followed by Thursday September 14th. The measure also brought in the calculation of Easter Day which is used today. Folio 32pp including the calculation tables. An important and somewhat uncommon Act.
