Rare 1908 London Olympic Games signed closing ceremony dinner menu - Banquet held for Olympic Competitors and Officials at The Holborn Restaurant London on Saturday, 31 October 1908 - Chairman the Right Honourable Lord Desborough - single folded card signed profusely in pencil by the following Lord Desborough, President of the British Olympic Council and representative on the International Olympic Committee, W Hayes Fisher member of the British Olympic Council and President of the National Skating Association, Louis Baillon gold medallist with the English hockey team born in 1881 in the Falkland Islands and the only Islander ever to become an Olympic champion, Mr E.P Denny delegate of the USFSA and representative of the French Federation, Count Brunetta d’Usseaux secretary of the International Olympic Committee who advised on rescheduling the Games to London after Vesuvius erupted in Italy preventing the games taking place in Rome , Sir Montague Shearman English Judge, athlete and co-founder of the Amateur Athletics Association and vice president until 1910, Lord Kinnaird (President Football Association), Lord Selby, C Herbert with Lord Ampthill founder members of IOC plus E St John Hart, Basil Hatch, H E Robinson plus the mayors of Hammersmith, Windsor, Oxford et al – small split to the spine otherwise overall (G) rare Olympic artefact from the conclusion of the games
