1941 Fred Perry 5th US Open Tennis Championship silver winners medal - played at the Greenbrier Golf and Tennis Club White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia complete with the 1942 Worlds Professional Round Robin Tennis Championships programme played at West Side Tennis Club Forest Hills, Long Island June 6-8 together with various newspaper cuttings from the event in 1941 and 1988 Palm Beach Honorary Membership engraved plaque which is inscribed “Honorary Membership in Palm Beach County - Senior Tennis League - is hereby awarded to Fred Perry 1988” mounted on dark stained plaque overall 8” x 9.75” (3) – ex Fred Perry Collection Christies 1997 Note: Fred Perry became an American citizen in 1938 I won the US Professional Championships that year. In 1941 he won the US professional Championships for the 2nd time tournament was a round-robin event And He Defeated Richard Skene in 3 Matches in 2 Months at Pinehurst, White Sulphur, West Virginia and Chicago.
