Suffragettes ‘Emily Wilding Davison’ Funeral Service Programme containing details about the memorial service dated June 14th at St George’s Church Bloomsbury, she died on the 8th June 1913, with information in regards to ‘Why did she stop the King’s Horse? and ‘A Petition to the King’, a single sheet in good condition. Note: Emily Wilding Davison was a militant suffragette who fought for women's suffrage in Britain. She was jailed on nine occasions and force-fed whilst in prison, The 8th June 2013 marks the centenary of the death of Emily Wilding Davison, four days after the Epsom Derby race, where she stepped into the path of the King's horse and was knocked unconscious to the ground
