Remarkable record of WWI – Memorial des Allies, Paris 1926, elephant folio with gilt embossed morocco binding (a little rubbed), binding loose but interior contents fresh. 347pp, with long autograph inscription to Alfred Boucher, President of the French Chamber of Commerce in London, dated 1940. A monumental French production which brings together facsimiles of a considerable number of important documents, prints and other ephemera, mostly pertaining to the major figures during WWI, including French, Belgian and British, but also with facsimiles of sentiments from leading figures in the arts such as Elgar, Bernard Shaw, Kipling and Conan Doyle..
