Rare 1936 Presentation cricket trophy and ball presented by Upminster Casuals Cricket Club to Ray Coates for taking 4 wickets in 4 balls against Thames Board Hills Cricket Club in their 1st match played on 10th May 1936 – silver plated trophy comprising stumps and horribly mounted on a circular base together with a dark stained wooden plinth fixed with silver plated engraved plaque together with the original James Lillywhite The Orient match cricket ball - trophy measures 6.5”h x 4.5”dia - overall 9”h. Note the cricket ball manufactured by Jas Lillywhite (Model ORIENT) has been identified by Jack Lillywhite, curator of the Lillywhite Family Museum as a model available and used in the 1930s, thus corroborating the assumption that the accompanying ball is the one used in the match
