Real Tennis - 2x scarce silver medals from 1893 and 1900 both won by James Byng Gribble to incl Cambridge University Tennis Singles medal 1893 and Queens Club Championship 1900 – both engraved on the reverse – together with an extract from Real Tennis 1888-1914 with images of Gribble and details of matches played (3). Note James Gribble died early in 1902 – his son Julian Royds Gribble only 21 yrs old was awarded the Victoria Cross, the highest and most prestigious award for gallantry in the face of the enemy, he was eventually taken prisoner and died in German prison of pneumonia
