WWII – Holocaust – Gideon etching showing a clown like figure playing a violin while a dark figure in the foreground looks pensively to his right, signed ‘Gideon’ with an SS skull and crossbones motif and a panther’s head with the number 66 to base. Mounted on board, overall size 56x38cm. To verso is written the title ‘66th Black Panthers’ and also ‘The Gideon Holocust Collection 1955 Wedgewood Inn [sic], St Petersburg [Florida] No IV, written over a poster advertising the Wedgwood Inn, with a further pasted down slip bearing the legend ‘Hang ‘Em High’.
