A large Poster by the local Magistrates forbidding public meetings and Processions in Dudley on Sunday (the next day). Large letters Press black printing by Thomas Danks, printers, High Street, Dudley. Size 20” × 15”. There was serious rioting in the streets of Dudley on several occasions in 1842 by striking Miners, Ironworkers and  Nailors, with mounted troops of the Worcestershire Yeomanry coming to the rescue of the Magistrates besieged in an Inn by the howling mob on one occasion
