1966 World Cup winners 18c Gold medal awarded posthumously to Harold Shepherdson England Trainer and Physio stamped HF 0.750 to the back with World Championship Jules Rimet Cup England 1966 to the rear issued to the remaining England squad after only the starting 11 received medals during the competition, being presented to them by the Prime Minister at 10 Downing Street organised by the FA. The medal party headed straight from Downing street to Wembley Stadium on the England team bus for their match against Andorra 10/06/2009, t/w 2009 Signed England v Andorra World Cup Qualifier Football Match Programme dated 10/06/2009 at Wembley signed by the remaining squad members who received their winners medals at Downing Street before the match, players including P Bonnetti, G Byrne, J Connelly, J Greaves, R Hunt, G Hurst, N Hunter, J Armfield, I Callaghan, and G Eastham (2) Note: Harold Shepherdson’s remarkable career saw him cover 3 consecutive decades as the trainer for 171 England International matches. He was duly awarded the MBE during the Harold Wilson Government in recognition of his achievements. His only club was his home town club Middlesbrough where over the years he held every post. His autobiography ‘The Magic Sponge’ was published by Pelham Books 1968
