Ephemera – Chemist’s Register ledger kept by H Taylor a chemist of Helensburgh from 1900 to 1904 listing patients with their various prescriptions etc. Included are various high status clients including: Princess Louise Duchess of Argyle Admiral Edge and Lady Laurence. Some of the younger women have prescriptions for digitalis - a poison used as eye drops to make the pupils dilate and thus make for a more attractive appearance.
